“Small Gestures of Repair” is in the South Gallery at Salina Art Center from April 21 – May 30. 2020 has been a year that has challenged us: A global pandemic, forest fires, racial unrest, economic crisis, a contentious election, and murder hornets. Since 2020 has come to an end, we reflect on all that has happened, it becomes apparent that these small gestures of repair are needed now more than ever.
The Juror for this exhibition is Joyce Harlow, Director of the Lincoln Art Center. Featuring twenty-three artists from across the United States (and one from Austria.) First place (Juror’s Choice) receives $250 award, second place receives $100 award, and a People’s Choice Award winner receives an Art Center Gift Bag.
